Is certainly present in the Iberian Peninsula, from 50 to 2500m. In warm areas, low altitude polivoltino (mid April to October) and in colder bivoltino. In males the wings are gray-brown with black polka dots and inside a dark brown, while females have the upper interior brown and orange bottom. Can be found in several areas: meadows with flowers, weeds, dry, clear, wet, etc.. The caterpillar feeds on Rumex, preferably R. acetosa.
