Monday, November 10th, 2008 The butterfly is now one of the most common, Colias croceus (Fourcroy, 1785). A beautiful piérido, data:

Division: Rhopalocera
Phylum: Arthropoda

As I said, this species is very common, from 0 m to 2400 m. You have up to four generations per year, from March to late fall. It flies mostly in meadows, loves suck the thistles and flowers of clover, for example. Their caterpillars feed on legumes, especially Vicia, Lotus, Medicago, Trifolium, Onobrychis, Coronilla, Melilotus, Hippocrepis, Astragalus.
These photos are from the slopes of Monte Alban ( Vigo ).
How to have beautiful green eyes?. A greeting.
