Hay fotos que, en un principio, no te dicen mucho, pero que, pasado un tiempo, las ves de otra forma. Así, que, mientras llueve, os dejo esta perla rescatada de mi disco duro, una Polyommatus coridon que parece que está entre la luz y la oscuridad…

Primera vez que me encuentro con un ejemplar de escarabajos del género Acanthocinus, caracterizado por sus largos cuernos que pueden alcanzar 5 veces la longitud del cuerpo. Supongo que el ejemplar que os muestro es una hembra, ya que la longitud de sus cuernos no es tan grande.
First time I find a beetle of the genus Acanthocinus, characterized by their long horns which can reach 5 times the length of the body. I guess the picture I show is that of a female.

Estoy retocando las fotos de este pasado fin de semana (todo Zerynthia rumina). Mientras tanto, os muestro esta mariposa que me encontré en Peña Trevinca (Ourense). Se trata del sátiro negro o Satyrus actaea. Como podréis comprobar, la foto está hecha a pleno sol, por lo que la luz es muy dura. Pero creo que el ejemplar lo vale.
I’m retouching photos taken last week-end (all Zerynthia rumina). Meanwhile, I show this butterfly I found in Peña Trevinca (Ourense). This is the black satyr or Satyrus actaea. As you can see, the picture was taken in full sun, so the light is very hard. But I think the issue is worth it.

NOTA: hay una errata (para la versión en castellano) en el primer párrafo (página 62) de mi reportaje (y eso que revisé el texto un montón de veces y no sólo yo): en donde dice “Cuando alguien ve por primera vez alguna macrofotografía de un insecto con rocío, la primera pregunta es: ¿con qué lo has rociado? La segunda,sobre todo con las mariposas, es: ¿y con toda esa agua pueden volar?… Pues no, se rocían y sí pueden volar, una vez se sequen.” En vez de lo indicado en negrita, debería decir, obviamente, “no se rocían“. Perdonad las molestias…
